Terms of Service Privacy Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using OTP Val ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OTP Val is a free analytics platform that provides statistical data about VALORANT agent performance, specifically focused on "One Trick Pony" (OTP) players. The Service collects and analyzes publicly available match data through authorized API access. The Service additionally offers an optional, opt-in account-linking feature that allows players to associate their Riot account with the Service in order to publish a personal OTP tracker (see Section 6).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the Service. To use the optional account-linking feature, you must additionally meet the eligibility requirements of Riot Games' Terms of Service and have a Riot account in good standing. You represent that any account you link is your own.

4. Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate analytics, all statistics are derived from sampled match data and may not represent the complete competitive landscape. The Service provides data "as is" without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Statistics should not be used as the sole basis for any competitive, financial, or strategic decisions, and the Service does not replace, override, or substitute for Riot Games' official ranking systems.

5. Intellectual Property and Riot Games

OTP Val is an independent project and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or specifically approved by Riot Games, Inc. VALORANT, Riot Games, and all related properties, logos, characters, and assets are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. The Service uses Riot's published APIs and approved assets in compliance with the Riot Games API Terms of Service, the Riot Games Developer Portal Policies, and the Riot Legal Jibber Jabber. Where the Service displays Riot-owned assets (agent icons, map names, rank badges, etc.), those assets remain the property of Riot Games and are used solely to identify in-game content.

6. Riot Sign On (RSO) and Account Linking (Opt-In)

The Service offers an optional account-linking feature powered by Riot Sign On ("RSO"). Use of this feature is strictly opt-in. By initiating the RSO flow and authorizing the Service, you expressly consent to the following:

  • Authentication. Authentication is handled entirely by Riot Games. The Service never receives, stores, or has access to your Riot username or password. We receive only the OAuth tokens and the account identifiers (PUUID, Riot ID, region) that Riot returns after a successful sign-in.
  • Data we will fetch. Once linked, the Service will retrieve your VALORANT match history (competitive matches and any other queues we support), per-match performance data, and current rank from Riot's APIs and supported third-party APIs in order to compute your OTP tracker.
  • Public tracker. Linking your account creates a publicly visible OTP tracker that may include your Riot ID (game name + tagline), region, current and peak rank, agent play rates, and computed OTP statistics. Linking your account makes the data on your tracker public, and you acknowledge and consent to that disclosure.
  • Revocation. You may revoke the Service's access at any time, either from your in-Service account settings or from your Riot account's connected applications page. Revocation triggers deletion of your linked tracker and stored authentication tokens (see Privacy Policy, Section 9).
  • Scope limits. The Service will not request, access, or store data outside the scope you authorize through Riot Sign On, and will not use your linked account to take any action inside any Riot game.

If you do not opt in, the Service is fully usable in its public, aggregate-only mode and no personal Riot account information is collected from you.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service through automated means
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, dox, de-anonymize, or target individual players
  • Link, attempt to link, or impersonate any Riot account that is not your own
  • Use the Service in connection with cheating, botting, account-buying, boosting, or any activity that violates Riot's Terms of Service
  • Use the Service in connection with betting, gambling, wagering, fantasy contests for value, NFTs, or cryptocurrency offerings
  • Redistribute the Service's data for commercial purposes without permission
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the Service

8. Advertising

The Service may display third-party advertisements, including Google AdSense. These ads are served by third-party networks and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party advertisements. Per Riot Developer Portal Policies, the Service is and will remain free to use; advertising helps cover hosting costs and does not gate access to features.

9. Account Deletion and Data Removal

You may request deletion of your linked tracker and associated personal data at any time by using the in-Service account-deletion control or by contacting the Service operators. We will delete your stored authentication tokens, public tracker, and personally identifying account records within thirty (30) days of a verified request. Aggregate, de-identified statistics that have already been incorporated into population-level metrics may be retained, as they no longer identify you. Players who have not opted in but who appear in publicly available match data may also request removal of their Riot ID from our dataset (see Privacy Policy, Section 9).

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall OTP Val, its operators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of rank, account suspension by Riot Games, or reliance on Service-generated statistics.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change affects opted-in users, surfaced in the Service interface. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including (but not limited to) suspected violation of these Terms, suspected violation of Riot Games' Terms of Service, or a request from Riot Games. Termination by either party does not relieve you of obligations accrued before termination.
